"Extreme Art Meets Extreme Sport"
What is an "Art Car?" One person describes it as "Any car transformed into a piece of art," while another says, "Any vehicle embellished beyond the mundane." Whatever the meaning, you'll have the chance Memorial Day weekend to deside for yourself.
Art Cars will begin arriving in Eureka Springs on Friday May 23. After a visit to our local schools and senior citizen homes, they will gather at the Art Colony and Cafe Santa Fe (on North Main St.) for public display.
On Saturday, take your spot along Spring Street for the parade. Cars and "cartists" will be downtown until 6:00 pm for photos and questions.
Plan to be here on Sunday for the Skateboard competion at Harmon Park. The event begins at 1:00 pm and specific details will be available soon.
On Monday, Memorial Day, join the cars and skaters and anyone else will have a pot luck and old fashion, all-American picnic at Lake Leatherwood City Park.
